Welcome to Cub Scouts.

We’re all about encouraging boys and girls to make friends, be helpful to others, and do their very best no matter the outcome. With the help of powerful learning projects and exciting outdoor activities, we aim to teach children that doing their best can be a fun and rewarding experience—no matter the difficulty of the challenge. Cub Scout Activities

At the heart of Scouting are hands-on, interactive activities.  In Cub Scouts, there are opportunities to spend time as a family and to do things that help build upon the Scout Oath/Scout Law.

Advancement

On the advancement trail, a Cub Scout progresses towards a badge of rank, while also earning segment patches for participating in pack activities. They need not have earned the previous rank in order to earn the next. AOLs (5th graders) typically crossover to a Troop in February of each year.

Adult Leadership

Pack leadership are all volunteers who are dedicated to sharing scouting with the youth of the community. All leaders within Pack 710 are required to be Youth Protection Trained (YPT) and trained for their respective positions.

Cost of Scouting

Pack 710 strives to make the cost of scouting affordable for all families. Pack dues are collected in November (or upon joining) and National and Council fees are due annually on your scout’s join month. Fundraising is available in the fall to help offset the cost of scouting.

Uniforms

Cub Scout uniforms can be purchased at the Nor West Scout Shop or online. Scouts typically wear their uniforms at pack meetings and formal community activities. Scouts are given a Pack 710 shirt when they join and families can purchase additional shirts and hoodies for both scouts and adults.
